No matter what time of year, green season or dry season, the healing waters of Mossman Gorge are only a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas.

The Kuku-Yalanji indigenous people have traditional community grounds here and in these modern times operate a fascinating walking tour at Kuku Yolanji

I had the privilege of doing 4 weeks work experience at the gorge and to this day always stop for a yarn with some of the locals and out of respect ask for permission to swim at a certain section of the river which is situated on designated Aboriginal Land.

To marvel at this natural wonder and enjoy the healing waters is a must for all visitors to the area…get into Port Douglas now and go for a swim at Mossman Gorge….woot toot !
